So it begins Life begins...
Finally life has changed gears from an over revved first to a smooth second. (been reading misfiled and other webcomics in down time) Scored an internship near the old school. Nothing much has changed in old Lane-ez a part from no Desmonds. (best chicken shop outside of Mosman Charcoal Charlie's) Still feels like it did when I was back in the grey and blue. But that is only the nostalgia of the fake King's Cross from Underbelly: the golden mile. The office is amazing. It comes with wicked views and is opposite the pub. It's up the road from a few friends places and also near the RSL. The office also has a dog and children that roam free from time to time. And on top of that the people there are so cool and chilled facing any problem that comes to hand when dealing with franchisees. Each is willing to throw their hand up to help in anyway and when they need a hand they really need a hand even if it is to make things look pretty. So far I have gone from "the quiet new intern in the back corner" to the "emergency graphic designer" to the "photographer of future stars" in five days of starting. Hell after the first interview I was interning with them straight away after the: handshake "thank you very much sir" walk to cubicle and sit down. Life is fast as a marketer come graphic designer and beats the hell out of sitting in an office all day answering phones that complain about bad service, bad networking, bad hardware etc. Life could not be better at this moment. NO MORE DOOM AND GLOOM Just happiness, free sushi and cheap soft drinks Every day is an adventure ranging from the most boring task of data entry to the high end of creating the code that make a website run and that one little stroke is wrong in anyway its back to the drawing board. I've only worked seven days and it feels like I've been there for a year or more. There is nothing else to say how awesome it is to work where I intern and how I'm not photocopying or doing coffee runs I'm the guy that does the stuff no one wants to do but has to, or the stand in action dude. And I don't CARE! But back to the real world. Like every other intern out there; we do this for the love, experience, contacts, friendships and tips we learn from places like this. It opens the eyes on how to work or not work, when to be productive, when to get coffee and cake, take the office dog for a walk to clear your head, play in the daycare centre to reach your inner child, make animal noises when everyone is doing something stupid, creating cranes out of gum wrappers and having fun while learning the ropes of the business you chose to work in.
